The university archive is a structural subdivision responsible for the storage, accounting, and use of documents generated in the course of the University’s activities.

The main goal of the activity is to ensure the preservation of documents of scientific-historical, cultural, and practical value.

Main tasks of the archive:

  1. Acquisition: Acceptance for storage of documents with permanent and temporary (over 10 years) retention periods, as well as documents related to personnel records.
  2. Ensuring preservation: Creating conditions for reliable document storage, including maintaining optimal temperature-humidity regimes, protection from fires, and unauthorized access.
  3. Document accounting: Maintaining accurate records of all received and stored documents, creating a scientific-reference apparatus (inventories, catalogs) to facilitate information search.
  4. Use and issuance of information: Providing access to archival materials for internal and external users, fulfilling social-legal and thematic requests, issuing document copies.

Functions of the archive:

  • Conducting document value examinations to determine retention periods.
  • Providing methodological assistance to the university’s structural subdivisions in matters of records management and archiving.
  • Preparation and transfer of documents for state storage in relevant archival institutions.
