Science Department

Main tasks of the scientific department’s activities: 

• organization, planning, control, and coordination of research activities conducted by departments and other structural divisions of the University; 
• preparation in collaboration with the departments of international, republican, interuniversity, interdepartmental scientific and scientific-practical conferences, forums, seminars, and round tables with participation of professors, doctoral candidates, applicants, attendees, and students.

The science department provides organizational support for the process of preparing highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel in the form of doctorate and candidacy. 

Basic doctorate / PhD in the field of “Public Health and Medicine” 

Admission to the basic doctorate / PhD is conducted annually from June 20 to October 10 (duration of study: 3 years).

Documents required for admission to the basic doctorate / PhD:

Medical certificate in form 086-U.

An application addressed to the Rector of MMU “Avicenna”;

A notarized copy of a higher education diploma with a qualification of “master” or from clinical residency;

A certificate from the authorized state body in the field of education and science of the Kyrgyz Republic confirming the level and content of education documents issued by foreign educational institutions.

Passport or military ID (for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic) must be presented in person when submitting the application.

A copy of the employment record book, certified by the HR department;

A personal record sheet confirming employment activity (for individuals with work experience);

Four color photographs measuring 3.5×4.5 cm;
